Obedience & Rally Trials

Thanks to all who attended, helped and endured historic weather! The indoor aspects all went smoothly, and changes from the 2007 schedule provided a much more comfortable and spacious event. Plans are underway for 2009. Please check back.

Lakeland's Obedience and Rally Trials was held February 16 & 17, 2008.

Trial confirmations and the schedule were mailed out Wednesday, February 6 (during a major snowstorm).

This trial will be held at the Craig Center, Rock County 4H Fairgrounds in Janesville, WI. This is an indoor trial.The surface is obedience matting over concrete. The Craig Center is surrounded by a pleasant parklike setting, and is easy to get to from Interstate 90. Food will be available for purchase at the trial.

More Details

Thanks to all of you who attended our first two-day obedience and rally trial in 2007. We've identified quite a few changes to provide more space and make everything go more smoothly in 2008. These changes include:

  • lower entry limits
  • rearranging the schedule
  • using a ring for crating during rally
  • no vendors

We also respectfully request that you:

  • do not bring unentered dogs
  • stack crates
  • do not bring ex-pens
  • no chairs with attached tables or oversized reclining chairs

Important information:

  • This trial has an early closing date: January 23
  • entry fee increases are due to AKC changes that go into effect January 2008
  • Class closures will be posted on our website
  • Judging schedule will be posted on Lakelandıs website (as well as being mailed with entry confirmations)
  • The tentative schedule for both days is Obedience in the morning, followed by Rally
